Common 1771-ASC failures

Failure patterns we regularly see on 1771 communication / coprocessor module hardware like the 1771-ASC:

  • DH / DH+ / RS-232 channel dead: transceiver or driver failure with good cabling
  • Module will not complete power-up diagnostics (fault LED on)
  • Stored program or configuration lost on coprocessor and BASIC modules after a power event

Repair or replace?
