Migration Path

Rockwell Automation has discontinued the PowerFlex 40. Published successor for the PowerFlex 40: PowerFlex 525 25B-D4P0N104 (same voltage, current and enclosure code).

The 520-Series catalog structure mirrors the PowerFlex 4-Class, so the 25B- number with the same voltage, current and enclosure code is the direct equivalent, and the 525 adds embedded EtherNet/IP and Safe Torque Off.
Rockwell's PowerFlex 4-Class to 520-Series migration literature includes a parameter cross-reference; 22-COMM-x adapters give way to the embedded port or 25-COMM-x modules.
